pixel's café Transparency Reports

Hello! This is the second transparency report we've made about this server and oh boy, it has improved tbh... Anyways, what else should we say? We've banned a lot of bots and made a lot of changes to the server, we've also reopened the comment section on our official website... which you are on lol.

To the numbers now: since October users have posted 9,364 messages (a 0.78% increase since September) and spent in total 140.80 hours in voice chat (a 63.53% increase since September). We've removed or otherwise moderated manually 294 messages (a 64.79% decrease since September) and our automated filters have blocked in total 38 messages from being displayed in the server (a 15.56% decrease since September). We've taken also enforcement action and our actions are listed below.

We have warned 6 people for rule violations.

We have timed out temporarily 3 people for violating our rules.

We have permanently banned 97 people, where most of the reasons were related to spammy behavior, bots or inauthentic behavior. We strictly prohibit spam bots or otherwise deceptive behavior and we take swift action on it.

We have received 1 legal request, which we've complied with. More information about it is listed below this transparency report..

In Novemeber, we want to work on updating our report system and revamping more of our automated moderation systems, as well as having more moderators reviewing the chat and also have more members in our server. We want to allow voice messages being sent in our server without any content breaking our rules and we're working on making it possible to send for members without any paywalls.

On the 24th of October, 2024, we've received our first request regarding one of our banned members in regards to hateful conduct and inappropriate off-platform behavior going on and an investigation going on. We've complied with the request and have given out the following:

Chat logs, basically what the member has sent.

Automod logs in regards to what he has sent (stuff he sent there got him banned from the server)

Ban reasons and a detailed explanation of what did he do plus we've given a lot of evidence in the form of screenshots.

We strictly prohibit hate speech in our server and we take swift and immediate action to prevent it from going on. We have a set of filters in place to make sure no hateful conduct gets through and it's updated on a regular basis. Based on statistics, 99% of text which contains that stuff is either blocked or autoremoved by our filters, the other 1% is removed manually by a human moderator.

We're glad we could assist with the issue and we hope the issue is addressed from the side of law enforcement, especially since the banned member also harassed an administrator and has shown hateful behavior towards people based on race / sexual orientation + sent discriminatory symbols.

Hi there. In pixel's café, we care about the safety and well-being of our members and people that are even outside of the server, but are associated with the server. We have been working hard on making the server a safe environment for everyone, no matter what your religion, sexual orientation, gender etc is, you are welcome in here as long as you do not break our rules. Sometimes, people like to try and break the rules.

To the numbers now: since September users have posted 9,297 messages and spent in total 86.10 hours in voice chat. We've removed around 835 messages and our automated filters have blocked in total 45 messages from being displayed in the server. We've taken also enforcement action and our actions are listed below.

We have warned 7 people for rule violations.

We have timed out temporarily 5 people for violating our rules.

We have permanently banned 116 people, where most of the reasons were related to spammy behavior, bots or hate speech. We have a strict policy against bots and we prohibit it. We've reported 3 accounts to Discord, where a single account has been flagged as "Likely Spammer" by Discord. (check #welcome and scroll up).

In total, we had a percentage of 90,54% of messages that didn't break our rules, Discord's Community Guidelines or ToS.

Now, what are we trying to do in regards to moderation? We're trying to keep a transparent and balanced model for everyone. We have a 5-warning system, where if you get above 5 warnings, you're most likely temporarily / permanently banned from the server, depending on the severity and/or moderation history

In most cases, for example bots, we report this to Discord. In serious cases, for example child safety, we permanently ban the people without an option to appeal, report the cases to Discord, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.

In October, we want to train our moderation team, update the artificial intelligence which reviews messages in the chat and also our filters which are in place. Thank you to everyone who supports the server and is active in it, and thanks to people who report bots / people who break the rules to us
